Former NHLer looking to return after successful KHL run.

A number of high profile international players have announced their intention to play in the National Hockey League this season, but another name that has flown under the radar is reportedly getting a good bit of attention.

According to a report from NBC Sports a number of NHL teams have expressed interest in acquiring former NHL forward Geoff Platt after a number of succesful seasons in the Kontinental Hockey League.

Platt hasn't played in the NHL since 2007, but his ability to find the back of the net in the KHL, as well as the current need for centers in the NHL have caused some teams to inquire as to his availability.

No word yet on what teams are interested in the Canadian-born Platt, but by all accounts he intends to play in the NHL next season.
