Game is delayed and Stars fan is thrown out after pelting Blues players and coaches with beer and popcorn

The real crime is the wasting of good beer. RIP to that $10 beer.

In case you missed it, play was halted with about eight minutes remaining in last night’s game between the Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues after a Stars fan pelted the Blues’ bench with beer and popcorn. The fan was apparently upset about a Stars penalty call and decided to take out his frustration on Blues head coach Craig Berube. In the process of showering Berube with beer though, the fan managed to make a mess of the playing surface, prompting the in-arena staff to work mop up duty in front of the Blues bench.

In the end the fan was ejected from the game, but the delay clearly aggravated the Blues bench.

Stay classy, buddy.

The real crime here though is the wasting of perfectly good beer. A quick Google search reveals that an average beer price at Dallas’ American Airlines Arena is $8.50. A 24 oz Miller Lite will set you back $11…

So… yeah, lock this guy up. If you’re wasting an $11 Miller Lite and you’re forcing us all to wait around while the staff cleans up your mess, you deserve to spend a night in the drunk tank.
