In a game where there wasn't very many positives, Shayne Gostisbehere was able to extend his record point streak for an NHL rookie defenseman to 14 games.

It was a tough night for most of the main guys but Ghost woke up just long enough to set up Michael Raffl with a beautiful pass which at the time put the Flyers up 2-1. Gostisbehere had the puck down the right boards and fired a cross slot pass under a Canadiens' defenseman stick. It went right onto the tape of Raffl who was all alone to the left of the Habs net and all he had to do was tap it home. It was a great example of just some of the skill Gostisbehere has and why he continues to extend his rookie record.

He has been such a great addition to the team. The Flyers have missed that constant offensive threat from the backend that Kimmo Timonen used to provide. They tried to fill the void with the likes of Mark Streit but constance was never there. Now in 39 games, Gostisbehere has 33 points. 11 of which are goals.

Way to go Shayne! Only 6 more to games to go to tie the rookie record of 20 games established by Paul Statsny.
