Gudas lays out Marner with a huge open ice hit

Midway through the first period of tonight’s game between the Philadelphia Flyers and Toronto Maple Leafs, Flyers defenseman Radko Gudas stepped up on Leafs forward Mitch Marner and absolutely obliterated him at center ice.

Marner picks up the puck off his foot at his own blue line, is forced to take a look down for a moment to kick the puck up to his stick and gets absolutely trucked by Gudas. That moment where Marner looks down… that’s all the time Gudas needs.
