Habs’ Byron gets knocked out by brutal uppercut and can barely get off the ice!

He should have declined the invitation…

Paul Byron should have said no thank you.

The Montreal Canadiens forward however felt the need to answer when he faced Mackenzie Weegar again on Tuesday night. The last time they met earlier this season, Byron landed a dirty hit on Weegar, who ended up concussed. The Habs forward was suspended three games for his hit to the head.

They needed to wrap things up it seems...

On Tuesday night, right away in the first period, Weegar asked Byron to drop the mitts and surprisingly Byron accepted.

However, Weegar landed a huge uppercut to his jaw and Byron had no clue where he was. As the Florida player checked up on him, one of the linesmen called the trainer over and escorted Byron to the bench. The poor guy could barely stand up and needed the help of three team members to make it to the dressing room…

It would be surprising to see Byron back in action tonight. But who knows... Teams do not always make the best decision when it comes to the concussion protocol. However, it was easy to see that Byron was completely out of it after the bout.

Let's all wish him well... and remind him not to fight big guys like Weegar...
