We are currently categorizing this one as a rumor, mainly because there's no video evidence to prove it actually happened.
According to Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher the normally sour faced Habs head coach, Michel Therrien, was caught smiling behind the bench during Friday's 2016 Winter Classic match up between the Canadiens and Boston Bruins.
"I think I even saw coach smile a bit. During a game, that's not something you see," said Gallagher as per NHL.com's Dan Rosen.
The play that actually made him drop the mask on his normal grim faced coaching style? Well according to Gallagher it was this jaw dropping save from Montreal Canadiens back up goaltender Mike Condon.
It was certainly a beauty.
