This a tough blow for the Montreal Canadiens, who have started the preseason on the right foot with three victories.

On Friday, it was announced by the team that three of their players will now be missing from camp due to injuries.

The toughest blow of all: star prospect forward Ryan Poehling is out indefinitely with a concussion.

Poehling is believed to have sustained the injury on a hit from Dryden Hunt duringWednesday’s matchup with the Florida Panthers in New Brunswick. As he played the puck up the left side, Hunt caught Poehling with a hip and caused his head to crash hard into the boards. The star prospect appears woozy on the play and was slow to get up, but remained in the game. He eventually recorded the winning assist as the Canadiens went on to beat the Panthers 4-3.

On top of that, the Habs also announced that forward Michael McCarron is going to be out approximately six weeks because of a groin injury.

As for veteran Paul Byron, he was not on the ice for practice on Friday morning and was listed as injured. In last night’s preseason contest, Byron exited the game and did not return for the third period.

The Canadiens might be winning these preseason games, but they’re also losing quite a bit!
