Hawks’ latest first rounder could cause another surprise!

After the draft, now this?

Kirby Dach already stunned everyone last June when the Chicago Blackhawks surprised the whole Draft floor by selecting him with the third overall pick in this year’s draft in Vancouver.

While no one saw the Hawks’ pick coming, the young forward was expected to be selected in the first round - simply not this early.

However, the 18-year-old might be getting ready to shock everyone once again and land a spot in the Blackhawks’ roster for the 2019-20 season!

The first four overall picks from last year (Rasmus Dahlin, Andrei Svechnikov, Jesperi Kotkaniemi, Brady Tkachuk) made the immediate jump to the NHL and played a full season with their respective teams. It is believed that Dach could too and the kid is already impressing at camp to make sure he can have a shot. We will have to see what his role will be in the lineup, but it is believed that Dach could be in uniform for the opener in Chicago.

He is the one to watch. Check out what he had to say about landing a spot on the team.

While he remains humble, you can tell he is a man on a mission.
