One of the biggest news this Wednesday is the retirement of Arizona Coyotes veteran Shane Doan, who spent his entire career with the same club.

The news affected several players around the National Hockey League, but also some statistics.

Offseason developments have launched the Vancouver Canucks captain Henrik Sedin into the lead in games played with a single team. With Doan's retirement and Patrick Marleau heading out of San Jose to sign with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Henrik now tops the NHL.

Henrik has played 1248 games, all with the Canucks, and he recorded 237 goals and 1021 points overall. His twin brother Daniel has taken part in 1225 games.
