If you would have predicted at the start of this season that the Carolina Hurricanes would hold a commanding two game series lead in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, you’d have likely been admitted to a psychiatric ward. The Bunch of Jerks in Raleigh are the talk of the NHL right now though and look poised to move put a strangle hold on the New York Islanders with the teams’ series heading to Canes Country for Games 3 and 4.
The crowd support has been insane in Carolina’s PNC Arena and if you needed any more evidence that Raleigh has emerged as a true “hockey market” just check out this video of hundreds of fans welcoming the team home from New York.
