In case you missed it, unrestricted free agent goaltender Michael Neuvirth has announced that he has signed a professional tryout (PTO) contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Check it out:
The 31 year old Neuvirth managed just seven games with the Flyers last season, as he was limited by injuries. In 2017-18 however he played 22 games and put up a stellar 2.60 goals against average and .915 save percentage.
Neuvirth is expected to compete with Michael Hutchinson and Garret Sparks for the backup position behind starter Frederik Andersen.
