In game actors fake proposal at Canucks game and then a real one happens

Here's one of my most recent pet peeves from NHL games these days: Contrived moments that are meant to go viral online.

You know them a mile away when you see them. They usually always play out on the JumboTron and they're set up to get an "OMG!" moment from unsuspecting people. A fake marriage proposal that ends with a mascot whisking away the girl... some dude making out with his beer during the Kiss Cam... you know the ones.

Lame...

It may look real at first glance, but it's clear to me that these are just actors put up to a scenario in order to make ESPN Sportscentre... lame.

Well, the Vancouver Canucks attempted to do exactly that yesterday evening but, you know what? They ended up getting a truly viral moment as a result. After two paid actors went through their fake proposal, one Canucks fan did the real thing by getting down on one knee and proposing to his sweetheart in front of 18,000+ fans. Her reaction is priceless and the look on her face is a mixture of pure love and bewilderment.
