INJURY REPORT: Veteran Sits Out Practice

As the Detroit Red Wings continue to practice today, there are two important updates that are coming out of their training session.

 

Captain Henrik Zetterberg and defenseman Brendan Smith both did not participate in this morning’s skate.

 

Evidently, Zetterberg is still recovering from a knee injury he suffered while preparing himself for the World Cup of Hockey which took place last month. It’s therefore believed that he might have hurt himself a little more during last Saturday’s final preseason game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, and so he has taken time off to rest.

 

Smith has reportedly hurt himself, although the details seem to be unclear for now.
