As we reported earlier this morning it appears that contract talks between Andrew Ladd, captain of the Winnipeg Jets, and his team have completely fallen apart and now rumor is he will be traded prior to the deadline.

Now a second report, this time from Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal has pointed to a potential trading partner for the Jets, in fact Matheson seems to believe one team will be the clear cut favorite to acquire Ladd.

"I'd be shocked if Florida GM Dale Tallon isn't making biggest push for UFA Ladd," said Matheson in a recent tweet.

Matheson may have a point here, Ladd acquired by Dave Tallon when Tallon was still a member of the Blackhawks organization, and he may view Ladd as the final piece his team needs to become a serious threat to go all the way. Furthermore reports suggest that Florida is looking for a big physical winger with some skill, and Ladd would seem to perfectly fit that description.
