Jets rookies Vesalainen and Niku involved in car crash

In case you missed the news this past weekend, Winnipeg Jets rookies Kristian Vesalainen and Sami Niku were involved in a minor vehicle accident this past weekend en route to their practice with the team.

The good news is that, despite suffering neck injuries, both players are reportedly in good health.

We’re obviously thankful that all individuals involved in the accident are safe and sound but… if this isn’t a bad omen for the Jets’ upcoming season I don’t know what is? Start the season with a car crash and end with a Stanley Cup? Stranger things have happened…
