Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews is known to be quite a serious and down to earth guy.
Therefore, his answers to the interview with the National Hockey League Players’ Association came as a surprise.
First of, Toews explained how he would prefer to have a new nickname. That’s right, the star player would love for his nickname to be J-Bone.
Sure, we are happy to oblige.
On top of that, Toews - we mean J-Bone admitted that he would have preferred to be sporting a different number than his famous 19 on the back of his jersey.
When he joined the Blackhawks, J-Bone wanted to be number 9 in the Windy City, however, the number had been retired by the Hawks to honour Bobby Hull, who led the team to the Stanley Cup back in 1961.
So, sorry T-Bone. No can do on that one.
