First rounder Kyle Connor is litteraly on fire. He received the AHL Player of the week award today.
In 4 games, he added 6 goals and 2 assists to his resumé.
Teams always hesitate whether it's better to promote a promising draftee early or let him cut his teeth in the AHL. In Connor's case, it seems the gamble is paying off. He scored 31 points in 38 games so far this year. His 19 games in the big show were not that productive, but he's learning fast in the Manitoba Moose these days.
