Latest rumors on the Rangers coaching situation.

There have been a lot of rumors about the future of New York Rangers head coach Alain Vigneault, and with general manager Jeff Gorton having yet to name a head coach since taking the position, those rumors weren't a huge surprise.

However one of the best insiders in the business, ESPN's Pierre Lebrun, appears to have squashed those rumors and stated today that he believes Gorton will keep Alain Vigneault behind the Rangers bench.

"I think Alain Vigneault is safe," said Lebrun.

Lebrun believes the Rangers will look to rebuild their roster with Vigneault, and that process is expected to begin this summer.
