Leafs fans blame Drake for pivotal Game 4 loss

Hmmm… maybe ship him down to Boston?

Canadian rapper Drake loves sports, however sports teams aren’t a fan of him. We are not talking about his music or previous acting career: athletes simply don’t want to be seen with him anymore.

So it felt like a bad omen on the Toronto Maple Leafs last night when Drake was seen encouraging them from his suite at the ScotiaBank Arena in a Leafs jersey during Game 4 of the series agains the Boston Bruins.

You see, there is a curse. You’ve probably heard about it. Whichever team Drake supports, that team goes on to lose.

He recently posed for a photo with Paris Saint-Germain’s Layvin Kurzawa. Kurzawa posted it to Instagram. Two days later, PSG lost 5-1 to Lille.

Paul Pogba’s Manchester United also went down 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup after he joined Drake for a snap backstage. Arsenal lost 1-0 to Everton after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang posed with Drake at the O2 in London.

The list goes on… So much that this week, Italian soccer team Roma posted a tweet banning players from taking pictures with Drake.

The Leafs didn’t get the memo. Or Drake should have worn a Bruins jersey…

Drake curse coming for the Leafs?

The Leafs lost the lead in the series last night as they fell short of forcing Game 4 into overtime as the Boston Bruins scored the empty-net goal with two seconds remaining in a 6-4 victory and tied the first round series at 2.

Drake should know better. Now, Leafs fans are blaming him for the loss. The rapper should just take a break from encouraging Toronto until… maybe mid-June?
