Leafs insider predicts a waiver wire move from the team today

This just in courtesy of Toronto Maple Leafs insider Kristen Shilton, backup goaltender Michael Hutchinson is NOT at his team’s practice this morning leading fans and analysts to believe that the netminder could end up on waivers later today.

Starter Frederik Andersen is taking reps, along with recently acquired backup Jack Campbell, but Hutchinson is nowhere to be seen. If in fact Andersen is ready to return to the lineup tonight against the Dallas Stars, Hutchinson would be the odd man out and likely placed on waivers.

The fact Michael Hutchinson is not here at #Leafs morning skate, and Andersen is in the starter’s net/potentially ready to come off IR, one would think Hutchinson might be on waivers come noon. He’s been up 30+ days since clearing waivers, so would have to go on again.
