The Toronto Maple Leafs may soon see the return of one of their core players.

While there has been no official report from the Maple Leafs, goaltender Frederik Andersen spoke to the media on Wednesday and if his comments are to be taken at face value, it sounds like he intends to be back on the ice on Thursday.

“We’ll see on the plane, but I’m looking pretty positive and I feel ready to go,” said Andersen as per the Toronto Star.

Andersen has been out with an upper-body injury since a collision with Buffalo Sabres forward William Carrier, but he has shown positive signs for multiple days now, including having his own net at practice yesterday.

While it's not yet official, we expect Andersen will be ready to play tomorrow.
