Markstrom loses his glove, makes an incredible bare-handed save.

Reaching out to grab a puck with your bare hand when there are men sliding around on the knives attached to their feet takes a lot of guts, but that's exactly what Canucks goaltender Jacob Markstrom did on Monday night.

Markstrom lost his gloves during a scramble in front of his net, and was unable to recover it forcing him to continue playing with one hand literally behind his back. However despite his natural instinct to protect his hand, when Markstrom saw an opportunity to end the play, he did exactly that. The crowd in attendance roared their approval at the nail biting sequence of events leading up to the save, and the save itself.

Markstrom has been a mixed bag in net for the Canucks this season, but a big highlight reel moment such as this will likely give him a boost to his confidence, even despite the fact the Canucks took a bad loss last night.
