More bad news for Jets rookie Patrik Laine.

The Winnipeg Jets had their worst fears become a reality earlier in the week when rookie forward Patrik Laine took a huge hit and remained down on the ice for several long moments.

Laine was spotted leaving the arena under his own power later that evening so things didn't seem too terrible, however Thursday brought some bad news for Jets fans.

TSN's Sara Orlesky is reporting that Laine won't travel with the team on their upcoming road trip, a three-game stretch where the Jets will face off against Arizona Coyotes, Los Angeles Kings and San Jose Sharks. 

It's significant if only that it indicates it will be at least one more week before Laine plays, as the Jets next home game is Wednesday against the Coyotes.
