Carolina Hurricanes forward Derek Ryan tied the game at 1-1 against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday night, celebrating his 31st birthday the best way possible!

Ryan was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Hurricanes in 2015. He played 109 games in the NHL so far, registering 51 points and 32 penalty minutes.

Before tonight's game, he had 20 points in 36 games played.

The Hurricanes are currently leading 2-1 after the second period.
