Must See: Martin lights up Noesen in one-sided scrap

There wasn’t much to cheer about for Toronto Maple Leafs fans last night as they fell 6-3 to the New Jersey Devils, but enforcer Matt Martin sure gave fans at least one thing to get out of their seats for. Midway through the first period with the Leafs trailing 2-1, Martin and Devils forward Stefan Noesen decided to drop the mitts.

Noesen, not known as a fighter, essentially hung on for dear life as Martin rained bombs down upon him.

That’s about as one sided a scrap as you’ll see in the NHL these days. While some Leafs fans may criticize Martin for his contract and lack of offensive contributions, this is EXACTLY the reason why management brought him into the fold.
