Toronto Maple Leafs forward Matt Martin scored his third goal of the season to tie the score at 1-1 against the Colorado Avalanche on Friday night! Martin shot the puck in front of the net, and it bounced off Blake Comeau's skate. Nathan MacKinnon opened the score for the Avalanche earlier in the first period.

Martin, 28, was drafted 148th overall by the New York Islanders in 2008. He signed as a free agent with the Leafs in 2016. In 556 games played in the NHL with the Islanders and the Maple Leafs, he registered 106 points and 839 penalty minutes. He added four points in 30 playoff games.

Before tonight's game, the Windsor, Ontario native had nine points in 36 games played.

The game is currently tied at 1-1 after the first period.
