The NHL announced the four coaches that will work behind the bench for the four teams in the All-Star game earlier today! Nashville Predators head coach Peter Laviolette will be coaching the Central division team, Vegas Golden Knights head coach Gerard Gallant will be the coach for the Pacific division team, Washington Capitals head coach Barry Trotz will be coaching the Metropolitan division team and Tampa Bay Lightning head coach Jon Cooper will be the Atlantic division head coach.

Peter Laviolette became Nashville's head coach before the 2014-2015 season. Since he joined the Predators, he lead the team to a record of 153-92-42, making the playoffs three years in a row, and losing in the Stanley Cup final against the Pittsburgh Penguins last spring. He also coached with the New York Islanders, the Carolina Hurricanes and the Philadelphia Flyers, winning the Stanley Cup with the Hurricanes in 2006. The Predators are currently third in the Central division with a record of 24-11-6.

Gerard Gallant was named the first head coach in Vegas Golden Knights history, and things are looking pretty good for them so far this season. They are currently first in the Pacific division with a record of 28-10-2. Before joining the Golden Knights, Gallant was the head coach of the Florida Panthers for two seasons and a half, before being fired during the 2016-2017 season. He also served as the head coach for the Columbus Blue Jackets between 2003 and 2006. Gallant was also an assistant for the New York Islanders and the Montreal Canadiens

Barry Trotz joined the Washington Capitals in 2014-2015, after he spent 15 seasons as the Nashville Predators head coach. Since he started coaching the Capitals, he kept a record of 181-76-30, making the playoffs every season. Trotz won the Jack Adams award for the 2015-2016 season. The Capitals are currently first in the Metropolitan division with a record of 26-13-3.

Jon Cooper became Tampa Bay head coach at the beginning of the 2013-2014 season. Since he joined the team, they kept a record of 213-121-35, missing the playoffs only once. The Tampa Bay Lightning are currently first in the Atlantic division with a record of 29-9-3.
