The Philadelphia Flyers aren't budging one bit and it's creating a serious gap in their contract dispute with arguably their top restricted free agent.

According to a report from Flyers' insider Tim Panaccio, there has been "no progress of any kind" when it comes to the negotiations between the Flyers and Brayden Schenn, and now there are really question about whether or not a deal is likely to get done.

General manager Ron Hextall has run a very tight ship since taking over management of the team, and it's believed that he has absolutely no interest in overpaying for Schenn, and it sounds like Schenn is looking for big money. Panaccio did confirm that the big divide between the two camps continues to be the financial dispute. The question now becomes what will the Flyers do? Take the arbitration offer or look to make a move?

For Flyers fan the thought of losing a top six forward is not an appealing one, but if any franchise understands the danger of long term over payment on contracts, it's Philadelphia's. Hextall's predecessors may have earned him some leeway in that regard.
