The Edmonton Oilers may soon have an additional weapon for the playoffs.

A report from TSN insider Darren Dreger has revealed that the Oilers intend to call up their 2016 first round draft selection, Jesse Puljujarvi as soon as the season ends for the Bakersfield Condors.

Bakersfield is currently in a must-win game this evening, so the end of their season could be sooner rather than later should they come out on the losing end. The rookie would be coming in with some NHL experience under his belt however, having already played in 28 games for the Oilers this season.

The addition of a player like Puljujarvi to the line up could be a big tool for head coach Todd McLellan, especially given that his Oilers now need to battle back from a 1-0 deficit in the series.
