July 24th, 2003: Hockey Hall of Famer Luc Robitaille signs on for a third tour of duty with the Los Angeles Kings.

After a stint in Pittsburgh, followed by a brief return to LA and then a stint in Detroit where he helped the Red Wings capture another Stanley Cup championship in 2002, Robitaille re-joined the Kings in the summer of 2003 and has remained a part of the franchise ever since.

The franchise’s all-time goal scoring leader would play two more seasons for the Kings before retiring and joining the team’s management staff in 2007. Since then he’s risen through the ranks to his current position as team president. The 51 year-old was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009 and was recently recognized by the league as one of the “100 Greatest NHL Players” in history.
