One-Punch K.O.!

Despite having lost five consecutive games and facing the Philadelphia Flyers in an arena where they have not won since 1997, the Detroit Red Wings continue to prove that they’re never going to go down without a fight… literally.

 

 

Just ask veteran defenseman Jonathan Ericsson, who after tonight, now has three fights to his name during the 2016-2017 regular season schedule.

 

Tonight, he took on the one and only Wayne Simmonds, who happens to carry himself well when dropping the gloves.

 

Even if fighting is at a historical low in the National Hockey League, standing up for each others’ teammates is a tradition that will never die.
