Only 9 restricted free agents remain unsigned.

NHL teams have whittled down the list.

Although for fans of hockey we are smack dab in the middle of the National Hockey League offseason, teams around the league are already looking forward to the upcoming NHL season. More specifically teams are getting prepared for the start of their training camps, with some teams even putting their players on notice that things may start early.

Keeping that in mind that means that the clock is now winding down on teams to wrap up their offseason business, including the signings of key restricted free agents that could find themselves holding out during camp should a contract not materialize. Earlier this weekend, the Los Angeles Kings announced that they had signed Michael Anderson to a new deal, bringing the total number of RFAs still unsigned across the league down to just 9.

Here are the 9 restricted free agents who are still unsigned.

Rasmus Sandin - Toronto Maple Leafs
Barrett Hayton- Arizona Coyotes
Ryan McLeod - Edmonton Oilers
Sean Durzi - Los Angeles Kings
Adam Ruzicka - Calgary Flames
Jason Robertson - Dallas Stars
Nicolas Hague - Vegas Golden Knights
Alex Formenton - Ottawa Senators
Parker Wotherspoon - New York Islanders

It is important to note that, aside from the fact that all teams want their players to report for training camp and want to maintain good relations with those players, there is no deadline for any of these teams to sign their players as far as this upcoming season is concerned.
