The Pittsburgh Penguins might start the regular season without one of their biggest superstars.
The Score reports that forward Phill Kessel's hand injury which required surgery in July might keep him out of the lineup early on.
Despite having posted 10 goals and 22 points en route to a Stanley Cup victory with the Pens, Kessel had reportedly kept his hand injury a secret throughout the playoffs.
Kessel has not missed a regular season contest since 2009-2010.
