You've heard the news already, the Senators will face the Rangers in the second round of the Playoffs.
Senators's GM Pierre Dorion addressed the media today and answered a few questions about his players status and let out a few golden comments in the process.
One highlight of the tough first round against the Bruins is obviously the stellar performance of captain Erik Karlsson, who played like a true leader. On top of that, he revealed he was playing through a hairline fracture during the first round. It should be enough to keep you on the sofa for a while if your name was not Karlsson.
About the many injuries in the roster, he had this to say.
He revealed an amazing fact about veteran Bobby Ryan.
Dorion also commented on the return of Clarke MacArthur who scored the heroic overtime goal to send the team on the second round.
Finally, he commented about head coach Guy Boucher.
All these comments are refreshing, since GMs tend to be very quiet about their team normally.
