Players show shameful level of disrespect for ice-crew before the game.

Embarrassing for the sport of hockey.

The sport of hockey has produced some of the classiest athletes in all of the sporting world, but that doesn't mean that every single player on the ice is a nice person all the time.

On Thursday the World Junior Championship featured a shameful moment for the sport of hockey when the players from the Czech Republic showed an incredible level of disrespect to a member of the ice crew.

The member of the ice-crew in question was making some adjustments on the net prior to the game starting when players from the Czech Republic fired a puck at him, barely missing his head, claiming that they had not seen him. How you can miss a full-grown human being standing in the middle of the net however is questionable to say the least.

The man then moved the net off of it's moorings to continue his work only to have another puck shot at him while attempting to do so. To make matters worse as he tried to leave the ice he was once again struck by a puck, and the anger in his body language at that point was clearly visible.

Sure he's just a member of the ice-crew, not nearly as important as the players in the grand scheme of things, but he remains a human being. It was incredibly disappointing to see him treated in this manner.
