The Nashville Predators have seen enough and they do not like what they see.

According to a report from Sportsnet National Hockey League insider Elliotte Friedman 23 year old forward Tyler Moy has officially cleared waivers after being placed on unconditional waivers by the Predators on Thursday. This usually signals that a team intends to terminate a player's contract and according to Friedman that is exactly the case today with the Predators set to cut ties with Moy entirely.

Moy was a Predators 6th round draft selection ( 175th overall ) in the 2015 National Hockey League entry draft but he never made it to the NHL level. After spending a full 4 seasons at Harvard University while playing in the National Collegiate Athletic Association 's Eastern College Athletic Conference. His 4th season was by far his best with 22 goals and 23 assists for a total of 45 points as well as an impressive plus minus rating of +20 over the course of just 36 games. That being said though his following season in the American Hockey LEague with the Milwaukee Admirals saw take a major step back with just 6 goals and 10 assists for 16 points and a plus minus rating of -18 over 72 games played in the 2017 - 2018 AHL regular season.

It looks like the Predators were still willing to give him a shot as the played him on both the East Coast Hockey League's Atlanta Gladiotors as well as with the Milwaukee Admirals again this season, but he has since been removed from the active roster in both organizations and this appears to be the end of his journey as a professional hockey player in North America.

Now that is not to say that Moy now finds himself in a situation from which he has no chance of ever bouncing back, however if any other team saw any level of promise in him he either would have been picked up on waivers, or the Predators would have been able to orchestrate a meaningless throwaway trade, but neither scenario is currently the case. Moy is still young at 23 years of age but his window is closing fast, in fact it may already be closed.
