The Toronto Maple Leafs are taking on the Colorado Avalanche tonight, as Colorado are trying to win their tenth straight game! The score is currently 1-0 in the favor of the Avalanche after the first period. 

Gabriel Bourque opened the scoring for Colorado, forcing a turnover in Leafs territory and accepting a pass by J.T. Compher to score his second goal of the season. 

Earlier in that period, Auston Matthews was robbed by Jonathan Bernier on a breakaway. 

The shots are currently 11-9 at the advantage of Colorado.

The Leafs are third in the Atlantic division with a record of 26-17-5.

The Avalanche are currently fifth in the Central division with a record of 26-16-3 after finishing dead last with a record of 22-56-4.
