Report: Andrei Markov left the Habs because of Bergevin's ego!

Three losses in four games. This is certainly not the start both the fans and the organization hoped for the 2017-19 season. Habs' forwards are struggling to score goals and some defensemen have not been playing as well as they should have. Some people believe that we wouldn't be having this conversation if Andrei Markov would still be with the Canadiens.

Controversial columnist Réjean Tremblay is among them. He said today on 91,9 Sports FM that the Habs lost Markov because of Bergevin's ego:

"The Habs really missed Markov yesterday. We lost him because of Bergevin's ego. Yesterday, if Markov would have been there, the Habs would have been much better."

He believes that the 38-year-old defenseman could've been back with the Canadiens in 2017-18 if it wasn't for Bergevin's pride. Instead, he is thriving in Russian with the Ak Bars Kazan...
