Minnesota Wild head coach Bruce Boudreau updated the media on the injury status of forward Joel Eriksson Ek and it looks like the 21 year old forward may be back in the Wild’s lineup in time for tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Kings.

Check it out:

Boudreau on Eriksson Ek: "He looks fine. I've got to wait for the doctors to tell me he's good to go."

If Eriksson Ek does not get clearance from the Wild’s medical staff to play tonight, then it’s expected that he’ll be in the lineup for Saturday night’s game against the Colorado Avalanche

Eriksson Ek, the Wild’s first round choice (20th overall) in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft hasn’t played since October 13th and has gone pointless in three gases for the Wild this season. Last season, his first full campaign in the NHL, the Swedish centre put up six goals and 16 points in 75 games.

The Wild are counting on the youngster to pick up his offensive game in 2018-19, so let’s hope that he comes out hot when he makes his return to the lineup.
