The Canadian Hockey League has shown that they will not be intimidated by acts of terrorism.

The president of the CHL and commissioner of the Ontario Hockey League David Branch has announced in a statement that the CHL will be moving forward with it's prospects game in Quebec City despite the fact that the city was struck by a terrorist attack less than 24 hours ago.

From Branch via Sportsnet's John Shannon:

"We had considerable discussion with various parties on the safety of the players families staff and fans. We have been comforted by the security and police that this tragedy is under control as late as meetings this morning. We are comfortable to proceed with the game."

Late last night the CHL was able to confirm that all of those participating in tonight's game were safe and has been accounted for and while obviously that was good news our thoughts today are with the 6 victims who lost their lives last night, the injured and their loved ones.
