It sounds like like the Minnesota Wild are headed for a contract dispute.

According to a report from Minnesota Wild insider Mike Russo of the Star Tribune, 25 year old forward Jordan Schroeder plans to file for salary arbitration, likely a result of feeling he has been unable to reach a fair deal with the Wild.

The Wild have only used Schroeder sparingly over the last two seasons, and it's unclear why they simply didn't opt to let him go in free agency. Perhaps the Wild believe that Schroeder still hasn't hit his peak and are hoping he can show some of the promise he showed when he got himself drafted 22nd overall.
