22-year-old defenseman Ryan Sproul has been offered the chance of a lifetime.
After spending the last three seasons in the AHL with the Grand Rapids Griffins which saw him post 28 goals and 91 points in 213 points, the Mississauga, Ontario native has cracked the tlineup ahead of the Detroit Red Wings’ season opener on Thursday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
A thrilled yet calm Sproul took the time to explain to members of the media that it’s been “a long time coming”:
