Report: Inevitable trade for Marner!

One NHL insider has his mind made up. Sportsnet's Nick Kypreos believes the Toronto Maple Leafs should trade forward Mitch Marner. 

When looking at the Leafs' depth chart, many wonder where Marner fits in as a “go-to guy”, seeing that other young stars like Auston Matthews, William Nylander, Zach Hyman and Connor Brown are already ahead of him.

Kypreos explains that he feels a trade is inevitable in Marner's case as he doubts he’ll ever be a “top-three” with the Leafs.

The good news for Leafs fans hoping to hold on to Marner is that he is going to fetch the best return, that being an established top-four defenseman to help Toronto make a strong push for the Stanley Cup. 

Matthews and Nylander are untouchables and Hyman and Brown are not expected to bring the same return to acquire immediate help on the back end. 

Now with the cap room puzzle to put together during the upcoming summer, it looks like Kypreos is right: a Marner trade is inevitable!
