Report: Leafs hire analytics and video guru

According to a social media update from The Athletic’s James Mirtle, hockey analytics and video breakdown guru Jack Han has been hired by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

For those not familiar with Han’s work, not only has he been featured in The Athletic but his groundbreaking work with the McGill University women’s hockey team vaulted him into the spotlight as one of the game’s most forward-thinking coaches and one of the biggest proponents of using analytics and player data in making coaching decisions.

Han is rumored to be the Leafs’ new video coach, for a sample of his work check out this video he posted of the Leafs offensive system early last season:
