The Pittsburgh Penguins are busy celebrating a major championship win, as they should be, but star forward Evgeni Malkin is busy meeting with doctors.

According to a report from writer Shelly Anderson, Penguins general manager Jim Rutherford has indicated that the injury to Malkin is "real serious" and furthermore indicated that they have not ruled out surgery as an option.

We may have a better idea soon however, according to Anderson Malkin is scheduled to undergo an MRI at some point tomorrow, and those result will likely go a long way to determining which path the Penguins take moving forward.

Surgery or no, another major injury to Malkin has to be a cause for concern for the teams' fanbase.
