Report: NHL may not send players to compete in Beijing Olympic Games!
This would be the latest in a string of diplomatic standoffs.
Hockey fans everywhere have been clamoring to see the return of National Hockey League athletes to the Olympics, where Team Canada would be looking to defend their two straight gold medal wins as the world gathers for the Beijing games this February.
However, in recent days the United States, Great Britain, Canada and Australia have all issued diplomatic boycotts of the Games in response to human rights violations by China, meaning means the countries will not send any delegates to the Game And according to reporter Andrew Peters, the NHL "isn't interested" in sending their players.
This would be the second straight Olympic Games that NHL players wouldn't compete if that decision does indeed go through.
