Report: NHL to push start of 2021 season back even further

Remember way, way, waaaay back in April when the NHL said there's no way that the 2020-21 season would feature a shortened schedule? Well... that plan seems to be out the window. The NHL has already pushed the season back from October to December and then January... now according to Colorado Avalanche insider Adrian Dater, the NHL is targeting a February 1st, 2021 start date.

At this point, why even have a season? Why not just cut your losses and drop the puck next October? I understand why the NHL went to great lengths to finish the 2019-20 season, but there's nothing at stake for 2020-21...
