A big new deal for one of the last remaining RFAs.

It sounds like one of the last few remaining restricted free agents has been signed.

According to a report from Eric Stephens of the Orange Country Register the Anaheim Ducks have agreed to a new deal with center Rickard Rakell. Stephens reports that the deal is a six-year contract and one that is valued at $22.8 million which works out to an average annual value of $3.8 million per season.

This of course is not the big news everyone is waiting for from Anaheim, there is a belief that as soon as Hampus Lindholm is signed that the Ducks will execute a trade, but this could point to the fact that the Ducks are getting down to business with the regular season already underway.
