After nearly two decades of struggling to remain relevant in the NHL the Columbus Blue Jackets seem to finally be hitting their stride. Led by Jack Adams Award winning head coach John Tortorella and bolstered by the rock steady goaltending of Vezina Trophy winner Sergei Bobrovsky, the Blue Jackets posted their best regular season record in team history last season and the team’s fans have taken notice.

According to a report from The Columbus Dispatch the Jackets have about a 96% renewal rate on season tickets from last season, the best percentage in franchise history. More importantly, the team’s season ticket base has risen above 10,000, an increase of more than 1,000 fans since the end of last season.

The Blue Jackets sold out 11 of their final 26 regular-season games at Nationwide Arena and averaged 15,857 fans — an increase of nearly 1,000 from the previous season.
