GM Finally Opens Up on This Crucial day

If Wayne Gretzky got traded, almost every player could be traded and yes... Even Sidney Crosby.

As reported by Olivier Bossé from LaPresse, Doris Labonté, former GM and head coach of Rimouski's Oceanic (Team where Sidney Crosby played before being drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins) admitted he considered trading Crosby for... Jonathan Bernier and Corey Crawford. They even had a deal on the table.

Brad Marchand was also, at some point, involved in the trade rumors at the time.

When Pat Brisson, Sidney Crosby and his dad left Rimouski in 2003 they finally decided the best team possible to develop Sidney Crosby was Rimouski and that is why he stayed there.

On his rookie year (2003-2004) in the QMJHL Crosby scored 54 goals and registered 81 assists for total of 135 points.
